Rob has been in the financial industry for over 30 years and has been a Managing Director for Caleb Roberts Financial Management since 2009. Rob is passionate about his role and thoroughly enjoys his work and has built up a client base in the local area over his time in the company. Rob prioritises his clients needs and has built up trusting relationships with them. Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, including his three grandchildren. Rob has a love for sport, including golf, football and rugby. He enjoys keeping fit and has also participated in Ironman and triathlons, which has seen him travel the world to compete in these competitions.  

Rhian Watson

Job Title: Chartered Financial Planner

Rhian is a Chartered Financial Planner having joined the profession over 25 years ago after graduating with a degree in Business Management from Cardiff University. Rhian is passionate about financial planning and ensuring her clients are comfortable with their financial journey through their lives to achieve their goals. Out of the office, Rhian enjoy spending time with her family, holidaying and going to the gym.

Gari Davies

Job Title: Independent Financial Adviser

Gari joined Caleb Roberts Financial Management in May 2016 following a whole career change. Gari undertook his training and exams to become a Level 4 Financial Adviser. He has since grown his own client base for a number of years and thoroughly enjoys reviewing his existing clients and meeting potentially new clients. Gari is a local Brecon boy who enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym and playing football. He recently retired from rugby to take up a coaching role for his local club, Brecon RFC. He also enjoys looking for new places to eat from all areas of Wales and beyond.

Gareth Llewelyn

Job Title: Paraplanner

Gareth joined Caleb Roberts Financial Management in August 2012 to take up the role within the Company as a Paraplanner having had over 18 years previous experience as a Financial Adviser with Nat West Bank & for an Independent Financial Adviser Firm based in Pontypridd. His main duties as a Paraplanner are to write the Suitability Recommendation Reports for the Advisers and also undertake product and fund research work in preparation for the reports that he writes. Outside of work Gareth is heavily involved with Llantwit Major AFC who play in the 2nd Tier of the Welsh Football League in the JD Cymru South League as both a committee member and supporter as his son plays for the team.  

Jake Newman

Job Title: Trainee Financial adviser

  Jake joined Caleb Roberts Financial Management in April 2022, having had a background in Financial Protection through a previous employer. Jake will complete his level 4 Financial Adviser qualifications with Caleb Roberts Financial Management over the coming years. Jake will then grow his own portfolio of clients and work closely with the local community and surrounding areas. Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children. He is also a keen sportsman who plays rugby with his local side, Brecon RFC.

Debbie Jones

Job Title: Administrator

Debbie joined Caleb Roberts Financial Management Ltd in September 2009, where she is an administrator, and helps with the day to day running of the Brecon office. Debbie is well known throughout the community, and our clients thoroughly enjoy dealing with her on the telephone as our first port of call. Debbie decided to have a complete career change when joining, as previously had always been a dental nurse/receptionist. Debbie enjoys walking, travelling, flower arranging and gardening.  She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, which normally involves another hobby … cooking and food! Debbie is heavily involved with helping local community groups and committees with events and shows, where she enjoys meeting local people and new acquaintances.  

Lisa James

Job Title: Administrator

Lisa has worked for the company since the merger with Watson & Jennings in 2009, Lisa commenced employment with Watson & Jennings in 2004.  Lisa’s background was in Loss Adjusting and had a career change after the birth of her Son. Lisa’s roles include the remuneration aspect of the client’s files together with the day to day organisation of the Advisers. Lisa enjoys keeping herself fit by running and Zumba and also enjoys holidays with her retired husband.
